The car color a driver chooses reflects his personality and being his favorite color. But it is of equal importance the choice of color for the vehicle that you are about to buy.

The most controversial of colors is red. According to optometrists, red is the most difficult to see color. Many drivers claim that by driving a red car they get stopped less for speeding and have less accidents. But other group of red car drivers in a study complain that because they drive red cars they are moving targets for accidents and are stopped more often for speeding.

According to the studies done in New Zealand at the University of Auckland, silver cars are 50 percent less likely to be involved in a car crash resulting in a serious injury as compared to white cars.

More so, brown, black, and green are considered the least safe colors according to Reuters. While, yellow, gray, red and blue cars ranked in the middle. Gray cars are the most invisible in foggy conditions as shown by accident statistics. Lime yellow is best seen on cloudy days and in snowy winter conditions. Obviously at night white is the most visible and red is seen as black.

White is actually the easiest color to maintain and care for. Fifty percent of the white car drivers claim that white cars don’t look dirty as quick as colored cars, while the other half complain that they have to wash the car more often just to keep them looking tidy.

The colors that are more susceptible to sun damage are black, red and most other dark colors as they absorb more of the sun’s ultraviolet rays than light colored vehicles. Both red and black car owners say the interior warms up faster than in other colored cars. This is due to the absorption of heat rays from the sun. Depending on season and your climate zone this may be good or not so good.

No matter what your car color choice is, keeping a car in excellent running condition and keeping it clean are the most important for a safe and worry free driving.

First impression is the best impression. Just like going on your first date – first impressions are everything. Get all the junk and rubbish out of your car. Deodorize it. Wash it, clean it. Make it shiny.

How To Sell Your Car Fast

Choose your time if it is possible. Don’t sell your car after the Holiday season, when everyone have already spent their money. Also, consider that during the holiday periods some people might be out of town or on vacation. Sometimes this can work in your favour because if people are not at work they have a lot of time to look for cars, and they are usually moneyed with nothing to do. But on the other side, when buyers are busy at work, they don’t have much time to do a lot of car prospecting, which can make negotiating faster and easier.

Also for this reason, if you can have your buyer come on a week-night, he is unlikely to make a comparison with your cars to other cars of which might work in your favour.

Be prepared as the good boy scout says. Get your documents and other paper works in order. Find and prepare the spare keys. You don’t want to be rushing around at the last minute, just when the buyer is ready to hand over the his cold cash. If you can’t find something he may just say, he’ll get back to you. And later on will call you that he has already found another car to buy. Yes it happens. So get everything ready before hand and you’ll have a much smoother transaction.

The latest in vehicle enhancement is the hybrid technology. Wherever we go these days, it seems that we see the word featured on the newest car models. Hybrid is simply a combination of two types of energy sources to run the vehicle. This technology is not just used on cars, although, cars are the first thing we associate it with.

The concept of using two energies to work together started on the early 1800s. Among the first prototypes are the mopeds. Just like the standard bicycles we have today, mopeds are designed with pedals and motors. It uses human energy to pedal the vehicle as it transmits the energy to the motor, which in turn makes the bicycle gain more torque.

Over the years, hybrid technology is used on larger vehicles. Power train is a good example of a hybrid vehicle. It uses electricity and diesel to run the engine more efficiently than just by using diesel alone. Other vehicles like boats and aircrafts are also known to use such technology.

Although, hybrid vehicles are generally referred to cars, there are many types of vehicles that are using this efficient technology. People are switching to hybrid, because of its efficiency and its eco friendly features.
