Up for sale is a bullet proof Mercedes E250 DIESEL W124. These cars were build like tanks and they are built to last and this car is a true testament to that statement.

The car has excellent bodywork considering that it is 18 years old. The Mercs normaly suffer badly from rust issues, but this one has very little rust on its body. It also has very few scratches and scuffs.

Inside the car is brilliant and extremely comfortable. It benefits from PAS, EW, EM, Dual Heat Controls, Central Locking and a fully functional Sunroof. The Merc has a CD player and a radio,

The engine is great and extremely reliable. Recently I made a round trip to London in it and it never missed a beat. The auto gearbox is spot on and there are no funny noises and the car does not smoke on accelaration. The speedo says that the car has covered 150k miles and although I have no history with the car, I have no reason to doubt it. It will do another 300k easy. This car is also capable of running on used vegetable oil saving you a huge amount on Diesel prices.

The car has the benefit of MOT and Road Tax so you can drive the car away.

Now for the bad bits:
1. The car does not lock or unlock from driver side. You can lock and unlock the car from the passenger door or the boot.
2. The bonnet pulley is broken, but I have a string placed there, which when you pull it opens the bonnet. Once properly closed the bonnet is secure.
3. The driver seat bolster has a tear in it. All the other seats are perfect.

None of these issues detract from what is an EXCELLENT car that will last you for a long time.

This car was taken in as part exchange, and I am still waiting for the V5. I will issue a full receipt to the buyer and include the V5C which is in my name. When the new V5 reaches me, I will immediately forward it to the buyer.
